Rep. John Boozman Named Ranking Member on the Veterans’ Affairs Economic Opportunity Subcommittee

U.S. Representative John Boozman today announced he will serve as the Ranking Member on the Veterans’ Affairs Economic Opportunity Subcommittee, a position he also held in the 110th Congresses after having served as Chairman during the 109th Congress. This role is in addition to his role as Ranking Member of the Water Resources Subcommittee.

“We need to make sure our veterans are afforded every opportunity for success because of the sacrifices they and their families have made to protect this country,” Boozman said. “I am pleased to serve as Ranking Member on this important subcommittee and I’m anxious to work with Chairwoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin to improve the lives of our veterans.”

Boozman and Chairwoman Stephanie Herseth Sandlin have made veterans a top priority and our service members’ transition to civilian life easier. In the 110th Congress, members of the Economic Opportunity Subcommittee played a vital role in the modernization of the GI Bill. In the 111th Congress they will oversee the implementation of the program.
