Julie Mayberry To Speak 31st Annual March for Life on January 18

Arkansas Right to Life just sent out the details for the upcoming 31st Annual March for Life. The march will take place on Sunday, January 18 and will begin at 2:00 PM at the corner of Capital and Louisiana in downtown Little Rock. The date marks the anniversary of the January 22, 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.

According to ARTL President Wayne Mays the march gives Arkansas pro-lifers “an opportunity to participate in a peaceful, prayerful and powerful event that will inspire and renew your commitment to work tirelessly to restore legal protection to the weakest and most defenseless members of our human family, the unborn.”

Participants will march down Capital Avenue to a rally for life on the steps of the State Capital Building. This year’s keynote speaker will be Julie Mayberry, former host of KATV’s Daybreak. The program will also feature Bishop Anthony Taylor, Bishop of the Diocese of Little Rock, and Pastor Doug Jones of First Freewill Baptist Church of Hot Springs.

Organizers expect several thousand to participate this year in what has become the largest pro-life demonstration in Arkansas. I hope you will join me this January 18.
