Will Obama Exclude the Phrase “So Help Me God”

There could be nothing to this but I was perusing President Elect Barack Obama’s transition website today and noticed something odd. The website contains information on the details of the transition such as how to apply for jobs in the new Obama Administration and information on the inauguration. The inauguration page describes what will take place when Obama is sworn into office stating…

“The inauguration will take place on January 20th, 2009 in Washington D.C. on the steps of the United States Capitol. President-Elect Obama will take the oath of office, which states the following:

"I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
I could not help but notice that the website says nothing regarding the traditional phrase at the end of the oath of office “so help me God” which has been said by all modern Presidents and may go back to George Washington. Does President Elect Obama plan to discontinue this tradition or is this an oversight on his webpage?
