A Conversation with a Couple of Senators with Different Ideologies

The second Presidential debate lacked the political fireworks that mark some past years' Presidential Debates. Historical, debates are remembered for moments such as Reagan’s “I paid for this microphone,” Benson’s “Senator, You’re no Jack Kennedy,” Gore’s sighing, or Kerry’s “Dick Cheney's daughter, who is a lesbian.” This debate was more of the standard talking points from two well spoken Senators with different political ideologies. If you were truly an undecided voter who had been locked in a bomb shelter for the last few years and were looking to find out the general idea of where these two candidates stand on the issues, then you were pleased with the debate. Otherwise, you were probably bored. Both candidates did okay; neither hit a homerun; so probably not much will change. Honestly, I would like to see Rick Warren host another forum as I thought this was much more exciting.
