AR Federation of Republican Women call for SC Democratic Chair to Resign

The Arkansas Federation of Republican Women released a statement today calling for the resignation of South Carolina’s Democratic Party Chairwoman Carol Fowler. This statement is in response to Chairwoman Fowler’s claim that Gov. Palin’s "primary qualification seems to be that she hasn't had an abortion."

The AFRW has called the Democratic Party HQ in South Carolina and asked how many abortions did their Chairwomen believed one should have in order to meet the qualifications to be vice president? “There is no place for this sort of bitter personal attack upon women in politics or politics period. South Carolina has been shamed by their representative; it is a disgusting thing to say. To step to this level of campaigning is to state that the Democratic Party’s primary concern is guttering rhetoric rather that fixing the huge probmes that face our country. This person should be removed from her position.” stated Anne Britton, AFRW President.

Sarah Palin has been a mayor, was elected president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors and is Governor of Alaska.
